Layton State Bank was established on August 28, 1920, originally operating under the name Layton Park State Bank. The bank underwent a significant name change on July 13, 1970, adopting the name Layton State Bank. On the same day, the main office relocated to 2740 West Forest Home Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
