BRANCH REVIEWS
I rate this bank's mortgage lending department a D-.
My review of Landmark Bank is in reference to a construction loan. I worked with Landmark Bank for over six months trying to secure the loan. There was an unbelieveable amount of documents that were requested of me, all of which I provided. I own property and make a very good salary. My husband's income is very good, as well. Plus we have rental income. I felt I had to prove over and over, that we owned the properties. I also had to provide copies of the lease agreements for all of my rentals. It took so long, I had retired while working on the loan. Finally, I decided to call an actual mortgage loan specialst and was approved within a week, with only half the paperwork. Our income was enough to support the loan we were seeking without the rentals. We pay our bills on time and have excellent credit. Our debt to income ratio was a little high, tough. I believe because of who we are, we had to be 100% with no consideration for our credit, payment history, and income. Makes you wonder how it would have gone if we weren't who we are. Uhmmm. The best thing I could had done was to walk away from Landmark. If they couldn't help us, they should have said so early on. Anyway, our new home wil be completed and ready for move in by June. I give this bank a D- for mortgage lending. Maybe I should have gone to a mortgage lender instead of a bank in the first place. They wasted months of our time.
