Lakes State Bank

Lakes State Bank was established on September 25, 1907, under the original name Backus State Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes and relocations. On December 15, 1990, it was renamed Pequot Lakes State Bank following a move to Front and Sibley in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. Subsequently, the bank adopted the name Lakes State Bank on December 1, 1995. The main office continued to change locations, moving to 140 Front Street in Pequot Lakes on October 29, 1999, and to 31113 Front Street in the same city on April 4, 2001. The bank then relocated to 30886 Second Street, Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, on August 1, 2005. On January 5, 2015, the main office moved again to 14521 Edgewood Drive in Baxter, Minnesota. On April 10, 2015, Lakes State Bank merged with The First National Bank of Walker, and subsequently changed its name to First National Bank North on September 1, 2015.
