Lake Community Bank was established on August 19, 1905, originally under the name State Bank of Long Lake. Over the years, the institution underwent several changes, including a relocation of its main office to 1964 West Wayzata Boulevard in Long Lake, Minnesota, on March 1, 1982. On September 1, 2006, the bank rebranded itself as Lake Community Bank. The organization continued to operate until it was merged into MidCountry Bank, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on January 1, 2024.
