Kosciuszko Federal Savings Bank

Kosciuszko Federal Savings Bank was established on June 6, 1894, originally under the name Kosciuszko Permanent Loan and Savings Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes, including a reorganization on July 24, 1989, when it adopted its new name and changed its organization type to a mutual savings bank, as well as its chartering agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision. On July 21, 2011, Kosciuszko Federal Savings Bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The bank experienced significant mergers, first merging with Kopernik Bank in Baltimore, Maryland, on November 4, 2015, and later becoming part of BayVanguard Bank in Baltimore, Maryland, on February 28, 2019.
