KleinBank

KleinBank was established on January 1, 1925, under the name Citizens State Bank of Big Lake in Big Lake, Minnesota. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes, adopting the name Preferred Bank on May 18, 1993. The bank's main office moved on multiple occasions, notably relocating to 611 Rose Drive in Big Lake in 1993. On April 2, 2005, the bank rebranded as KleinBank, acquiring several local banks including The Klein National Bank of Madison, The First National Bank of Waconia, and the Oakley National Bank of Buffalo, among others, significantly expanding its presence in Minnesota. KleinBank continued to grow through acquisitions, with notable transactions including the acquisition of Community Bank Plymouth in April 2010 and Prior Lake State Bank in October 2014. The main office moved again to 301 Chestnut Street in Chaska, Minnesota, on August 29, 2017. Ultimately, on November 1, 2018, KleinBank merged with Old National Bank, a financial institution based in Evansville, Indiana, marking the end of its independent operations.
