Kingsley State Bank was established on January 1, 1883, under the original name of Kingsley State Bank. Over the years, the bank underwent several significant changes. On December 28, 1916, it transitioned its trust powers to full trust capabilities. After further developments, the institution changed its name to Kingsley State Bank on April 13, 1970. On December 15, 1972, Kingsley State Bank again enhanced its trust powers to full status and relocated its main office to 1 East Second Street in Kingsley, Iowa. The bank continued to operate until it merged with Midstates Bank, National Association, on May 1, 2019, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, marking the end of its independent operation.
