Keokuk Savings Bank and Trust Company was established on January 4, 1868, in Keokuk, Iowa. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes, including a transition to full trust powers on December 26, 1931. In 1989, Keokuk Savings Bank and Trust Company acquired Norwest Bank Keokuk, National Association, further expanding its services. On September 17, 2016, the bank merged with Connection Bank, based in Fort Madison, Iowa, and subsequently changed its name to Connection Bank. This merger marked the end of the bank's nearly 150-year history as an independent financial institution.
