HISTORY OF KENTUCKY BANK
Kentucky Bank, originally established as Bourbon-Agricultural Bank & Trust Company in 1915, has undergone several name changes and acquisitions throughout its history. The institution rebranded to Bourbon Agricultural Deposit Bank & Trust Company in 1984 and subsequently adopted the name Kentucky Bank later that same year. Over the years, Kentucky Bank expanded its operations through various acquisitions, including Jessamine First Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1996, Kentucky Savings Bank in Georgetown, and First Federal Savings Bank in Cynthiana in 2003. The bank continued to grow by acquiring other financial institutions, including Peoples Bank in Morehead in 2006 and Madison Bank in Richmond in 2015. However, on June 30, 2021, Kentucky Bank merged with and became part of Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company based in Louisville, Kentucky.
