History Of KCB Bank

KCB Bank, originally established as Kearney Commercial Bank on August 17, 1887, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. The bank's main office was first located at Jefferson and Summit Streets in Kearney, Missouri, before moving to 100 West 92 Highway in Kearney on December 30, 1993. In 1998, KCB Bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. The bank underwent a name change to KCB Bank on August 23, 2006, and subsequently moved its main office to 950 West 92 Highway in Kearney on February 21, 2006. The institution's history culminated in its merger with Academy Bank, National Association on October 18, 2019, becoming part of the larger banking organization located in Kansas City, Missouri.
