Journey Bank, established on February 1, 1926, originally operated under the name Bloomsburg Bank-Columbia Trust Company. The institution underwent a significant transformation in its regulatory status on June 17, 1969, when it withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, subsequently becoming a state-chartered bank regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). On March 12, 1990, the bank changed its name to First Columbia Bank & Trust Company. In July 2008, Journey Bank expanded its operations by acquiring Columbia County Farmers National Bank, located in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, and later that year moved its main office to 232 East Street in Bloomsburg. The company continued to evolve and, on November 11, 2023, it changed its name to Journey Bank and acquired The Muncy Bank and Trust Company in Muncy, Pennsylvania.
