History Of Johnson Bank
Johnson Bank, originally established as Heritage Bank on November 12, 1970, underwent several transformations throughout its history. The institution changed its name to Heritage Bank on the same day of its establishment and acquired its full trust powers in October 1972. Over the years, the bank expanded through a series of acquisitions, including Heritage Bank - Racine in December 1984, and two Heritage banks in Kenosha and Mukwonago in July and November 1990, respectively. In May 1998, the bank rebranded itself to Johnson Bank after acquiring The Bank of Fort Atkinson and subsequent institutions. The main office was relocated to North Main Street in Racine, Wisconsin, as part of this transition. Johnson Bank continued to grow by acquiring multiple banks, including Johnson Bank Hayward, Capital Bank in Green Bay, and Johnson Trust Company in Racine in the early 2000s. Significant milestones include becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System in May 1997 and acquiring Johnson Bank Arizona, National Association in Phoenix, Arizona, in June 2006.
