History Of Jersey Shore State Bank
Jersey Shore State Bank was established on May 12, 1934, originally under that name. Over the decades, the bank underwent several regulatory and organizational changes. On July 8, 1941, it became a member of the Federal Reserve System and was designated as a state-chartered bank. However, on October 19, 1970, it withdrew from the Federal Reserve System, changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and reclassified as a state-chartered bank not affiliated with the Federal Reserve. The bank's main office was relocated to 115 South Main Street in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, on May 12, 1975. Jersey Shore State Bank expanded its footprint by acquiring Lock Haven Savings Bank in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, on April 7, 1995, followed by the acquisition of The First National Bank of Spring Mills in Spring Mills, Pennsylvania, on January 11, 1999. Most recently, on May 16, 2013, the main office moved to 300 Market Street in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
