Jefferson Bank and Trust

Jefferson Bank and Trust Company was established on January 1, 1892. Over the decades, it underwent several significant changes, including the expansion of its services and relocation of its main office. In 1907, the bank changed its trust powers to full status, enhancing its financial offerings. After becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System in 1946, it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) on the same date. The bank moved its main office multiple times, first to 2301 Market Street in Saint Louis, Missouri, in 1977, and then to 100 Legends Parkway in Eureka, Missouri, in 1990. In 1989, it acquired Jefferson Bank of St. Louis County and updated its main office location to 108 North Central in Eureka. In 2016, the main office was again relocated to 2301 Market Street in Saint Louis. Ultimately, Jefferson Bank and Trust merged with First Mid Bank & Trust, National Association on June 10, 2022, thereby ceasing to operate independently.
