Iowa State Bank is a financial institution established on January 1, 1928, originally under the name Iowa State Bank. Over its history, the bank has undergone several significant changes and expansions. On April 1, 1970, it transitioned to full trust powers and relocated its main office to 25 East State Street in Algona, Iowa, subsequently withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System on the same date. The main office was later moved again to 5 East Call Street in Algona on November 27, 1978. Iowa State Bank expanded its operations through acquisitions, including Home Federal Savings and Loan Association in Algona on January 31, 1992; Ruthven State Bank in Ruthven, Iowa, on November 1, 2001; and Corwith State Bank in Corwith, Iowa, on August 30, 2003.
