HISTORY OF INVESTORS BANK

Investors Bank, originally established as Investors Savings and Loan Association in 1926, underwent several significant transformations and expansions over its history. The institution adopted the name Investors Savings Bank in 1992 when it transitioned to a mutual savings bank. In 1997, it changed its organization type to a stock savings bank, reflecting its evolving business model. The bank continued to expand through acquisitions, including East Jersey Savings Bank in 1991 and several other financial institutions throughout the 2000s, such as American Bank of New Jersey in 2009 and Brooklyn Federal Savings Bank in 2012. In 2011, the name was officially changed to Investors Bank. The bank relocated its main office multiple times, ultimately settling in Short Hills, New Jersey, in 2014. In a continued effort to grow, Investors Bank acquired Gold Coast Bank in 2020 and underwent a reorganization of its services, changing to a commercial bank in 2019. The final chapter in its independent history came in April 2022, when Investors Bank merged with Citizens Bank, National Association, thereby becoming part of a larger banking entity based in Providence, Rhode Island.
