I went in to discuss a loan. I spoke to the branch Mgr. Kimberly and she gave me a card for Kimberly Simon to contact when I would want to fill out paperwork I sent this loan person an email Monday the 12th and an automated reply was she would be back into the office the 12th. NO reply. So I sent another email the 13th, No reply. I would not bother with this branch loan person. I went elsewhere.
The customer service is friendly at the counter, but the banker at the Derby branch was terrible. I went in with a Power of Attorney to change my Mother's account from being in her name into the name or her trust. They told me the banker was out to lunch, and to come back in an hour and a half. I did. I waited about 15 minutes for my turn, then worked with the banker for 45-50 minutes until closing time. At 5, she told me this would take another 20 minutes and that I'd have to come back tomorrow to work with a different banker to finish up. I explained the urgency of our situation and that I'd been there earlier, and she again said she couldn't finish the process. My mother died the next morning. I wish this melodrama was not real. This happened 23 days ago. Now, they've frozen my Mom's account, (I assume due to the me notifying the credit agencies of her passing, but not sure how they found out as we didn't report it to them due to fear of them freezing it), so that her autopayment of things like her eclectic bill are being rejected. Did not care to finish the process that would have allowed us to keep her account functioning past her death, but surely enjoyed a nice lunch.
