Inter National Bank was established on January 24, 1985, under the name Inter National Bank of McAllen. Over the years, the bank underwent several significant changes, including a name change to Inter National Bank on March 21, 1990. The bank's main office was relocated multiple times within McAllen, Texas, moving to 1700 South 10th Street on June 30, 2000, and then to 1801 South Col Rowe Boulevard on June 24, 2002. In addition, on August 19, 2005, Inter National Bank acquired City National Bank in Weslaco, Texas. Further expanding its operations, the main office was moved again on June 16, 2015, to 1801 South 2nd Street in McAllen, Texas. The most significant change occurred on November 20, 2018, when Inter National Bank merged and became part of Vantage Bank Texas, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas.
