Independent Bank of Texas was established on May 1, 2003, serving the banking needs of the local community. The bank's main office was relocated on March 31, 2006, to a new facility at 4300 North Belt Line Road in Irving, Texas. Over the years, Independent Bank of Texas developed a reputation for providing a range of financial services. However, on July 1, 2015, it merged with Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas, Texas, becoming part of a larger banking institution while continuing to serve its client base under the new organizational structure.
