History Of Independence Bank of Kentucky
Independence Bank of Kentucky is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1909, under the original name Farmers and Merchants Bank. The institution underwent a significant name change to Independence Bank of Kentucky on December 2, 1996. Over the years, it has moved its main office multiple times within Owensboro, Kentucky, first relocating to 625 18th Street on May 15, 1997, then to 425 East 18th Street on March 22, 1999, and eventually to its current location at 2425 Frederica Street, which it moved to on August 18, 2004. The bank acquired Independence Bank in Henderson, Kentucky, on February 11, 1998, and expanded its capabilities by changing its trust powers to full on March 3, 1999. On January 18, 2018, Independence Bank of Kentucky became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve, subsequently altering its classification to a state-chartered bank and member of the Federal Reserve System.

I went in yesterday to the Independence Bank in Hawesville and had a pleasant expert. The young lady who waited on me was very nice and pleasant and she greeted me with a smile.
