Illini State Bank, originally established as Tonica State Bank on February 14, 1914, underwent several significant changes throughout its history. On February 16, 1988, the institution changed its name to Illini State Bank and relocated its main office to Main Street in Tonica, Illinois. That same day, the bank acquired The Farmers State Bank of Lostant. On July 30, 1992, the main office was moved to its current location at 301 South Columbia Avenue in Oglesby, Illinois. Significant regulatory changes occurred on August 17, 2000, when the bank transitioned to a State Chartered Bank and became a member of the Federal Reserve System, which also involved changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve.
