Idaho Independent Bank was established on October 11, 1993, and initially served the community under that name. Over the following years, the bank moved its main office multiple times within Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The main office was relocated to 912 Northwest Boulevard on October 24, 1994, where it remained until a further move on April 30, 1999. Subsequently, the main office changed location again to the same address, 912 Northwest Boulevard, on February 7, 2000, and remained there until July 1, 2014, when it was moved to 1260 West Riverstone Drive in Coeur d'Alene. Idaho Independent Bank continued its operations until April 8, 2019, when it merged with First Interstate Bank, headquartered in Billings, Montana.
