IAB Financial Bank

IAB Financial Bank was established on April 6, 1946, originally operating under the name Grabill Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent significant changes, including a name change to IAB Financial Bank on October 9, 2012. On the same day, the bank also acquired MarkleBank located in Markle, Indiana. IAB Financial Bank moved its main office to 118 East Ludwig Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, on July 1, 2012. Following a transition to full trust powers on February 27, 2003, the bank continued to grow through acquisitions, including the purchase of iAB Merger Bank in Bourbon, Indiana, on February 1, 2015. Ultimately, on July 14, 2017, IAB Financial Bank merged with and became part of First Merchants Bank, based in Muncie, Indiana.
