I3 Bank, originally established as the Bank of Bennington on January 28, 1928, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. In its early years, the institution operated under this name until it moved its main office from 500 North 156th Street to 12212 North 156th Street in Bennington, Nebraska, on February 15, 1994. On August 24, 1999, the bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. After more than two decades of operation under its original name, the institution officially changed its name to I3 Bank on June 21, 2021.
