Huntingdon Valley Bank

Huntingdon Valley Bank was established in 1891 under the original name Huntingdon Valley Federal Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes and organizational transformations. On February 20, 2000, it changed its name to Huntingdon Valley Bank. The bank transitioned to a mutual savings bank on July 1, 2003, and subsequently changed its chartering agency to the State of Pennsylvania while becoming regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). On January 11, 2017, it changed its organization type to a stock savings bank. Notably, on December 31, 1979, Huntingdon Valley Bank acquired the Lower Dublin Savings Association based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The main office of the bank was relocated to 2617 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, on July 31, 1987. The bank's operations came to a close when it merged with First Citizens Community Bank, effective June 17, 2023.
