History Of HSBC
HSBC, originally established as HSBC Bank USA, National Association in July 2004, has undergone significant changes and acquisitions since its inception. The main office was initially located in Buffalo, New York, and later moved to Wilmington, Delaware, in August 2004. To expand its operations, HSBC acquired several financial institutions, including HSBC Bank & Trust Company Delaware and HSBC National Bank USA in December 2008. A further acquisition was made in March 2005 when HSBC purchased the Bank of Bermuda (New York) Limited. The main office relocated to McLean, Virginia, in December 2008, and again to Tysons, Virginia, in July 2011. I am closing all my accounts too. The service is terrible. When I called, the stupid automated service kept asking me to do the same thing over and over again. Can never get to a live agent! HSBC is going downhill and they deserve to go downhill!!!... Read more
