HORIZON BANK

Horizon Bank was established on February 23, 1973, originally under the name Bank of Fyffe. The institution underwent a significant acquisition on September 1, 1994, when it acquired Bank of Powell, located in Powell, Alabama. On March 20, 1995, the bank changed its name to Horizon Bank. In a strategic move to expand its operations, the main office of Horizon Bank was relocated on March 31, 2006, to 1167 Main Street in Fyffe, Alabama. However, the bank's history concluded on April 1, 2017, when it merged with Peoples Independent Bank, which operates in Boaz, Alabama.
