History Of HomeTown Bank
HomeTown Bank is a financial institution established on January 1, 1924, originally named Redwood Falls Federal Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the bank underwent several organizational and regulatory changes. On July 7, 1995, it changed its organization type to Stock Savings & Loan. The institution adopted the name Hometown Bank on June 16, 1998, which was later modified to HomeTown Bank on May 10, 2000. Regulatory status changes occurred in December 2011 when the primary federal regulatory agency was switched to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. By December 2018, the bank changed its classification to a Commercial Bank and became a State Chartered Bank, no longer a member of the Federal Reserve System, with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) becoming its primary regulatory agency. Subsequently, the bank's main office relocated to 1000 East Cook Street in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, on September 8, 2008. Most recently, on September 4, 2024, the main office was moved to 1600 Monroe Drive, Carver, Minnesota.
