HomeBanc

HomeBanc was established on April 23, 2007, originally under the name Community National Bank of the South. The institution underwent a name change to Homebanc National Association on March 18, 2008. In 2017, HomeBanc transitioned to a state-chartered bank and withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, changing its primary federal regulatory agency from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to the Federal Reserve on April 28, 2017. On the same day, it was classified as a state-chartered bank and became a member of the Federal Reserve System. Subsequently, on March 25, 2017, HomeBanc moved its main office to 327 North Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa, Florida, and officially adopted the name HomeBanc. However, on April 30, 2018, HomeBanc merged with and became part of First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company, headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina.
