Home Savings Bank, originally established as Home Savings and Loan Association on November 24, 1941, has undergone several name and organizational changes throughout its history. On March 21, 1996, the institution changed its name to The Home Savings and Loan Association. This was followed by another name change to Home Savings Bank of Wapakoneta on May 6, 1998.
