Home Savings Bank is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1979, originally under the name Home Credit Thrift and Loan. Initially, the institution was not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Over the years, the organization underwent several name changes and transformations in its structure: on October 3, 1986, it became Home Credit Financial and switched its organization type to an industrial bank. This was followed by another name change to Home Credit Bank on March 1, 1990, at which point it transitioned to a commercial bank. On August 7, 2001, the institution was renamed Home Savings Bank. Subsequently, the main office of Home Savings Bank was relocated multiple times. It moved to 1455 East 2100 South Street in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 7, 2001, before relocating again to the same address on March 31, 2006.
