Home Savings Bank was originally established as Home Savings and Loan Association of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, in 1897. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes. On February 14, 1995, it changed its name to Home Savings and Loan Association, along with modifications to its chartering and regulatory agencies, transitioning to the Office of Thrift Supervision. In 2000, the main office was relocated to 130 East Mc Carty Street in Jefferson City, Missouri. Subsequently, on July 21, 2011, the primary federal regulatory agency changed to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Finally, on September 17, 2016, Home Savings Bank merged with and became part of Legends Bank based in Linn, Missouri.
