History Of Home Federal Bank
Home Federal Bank is a financial institution that was established on June 15, 1936, under the original name Home Federal Savings Bank of Tennessee. In 1982, the bank expanded its operations by acquiring Security Federal Savings and Loan Association in Alcoa, Tennessee. Subsequent changes included the alteration of its trust powers to full in February 1985 and a name change to Home Federal Bank of Tennessee, FSB, on March 31, 1989. The institution was renamed Home Federal Bank of Tennessee on April 18, 1996, coinciding with the relocation of its main office to 515 Market Street, Knoxville, Tennessee. On July 21, 2011, Home Federal Bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
