Home Bank and Trust Company is a financial institution that was established on August 4, 1904, originally under the name The Home National Bank of Eureka. In 1976, the bank expanded its services by changing its trust powers to full. On April 1, 1977, the institution underwent a series of changes, including a name change to Home Bank and Trust Company of Eureka, a shift in its chartering agency to state authority, and the withdrawal from membership in the Federal Reserve System. After a decade, on July 28, 1989, the bank changed its name to Home Bank and Trust Company and acquired Severy State Bank in Severy, Kansas, further expanding its presence in the region.
