History Of Hillsboro State Bank
Hillsboro State Bank was established on March 6, 1903, originally operating under the name The Ramona State Bank. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes, including a name change to Hillsboro State Bank on February 11, 1985. On the same day, the bank's main office moved to 201 North Main Street in Hillsboro, Kansas. Shortly thereafter, on June 30, 1985, the main office was relocated again to 200 North Main Street in Hillsboro. After nearly four decades of independent operation, Hillsboro State Bank merged with Vintage Bank Kansas in Leon, Kansas, on April 18, 2022, becoming part of the larger banking institution.
