Heritage Bank of Central Illinois was established on April 20, 1920, originally operating under the name Trivoli State Bank. In 1994, the bank underwent significant changes, including a name change to Heritage Bank of Central Illinois, the acquisition of Hanna City State Bank located in Hanna City, Illinois, and a relocation of its main office to 615 North Trivoli Road in Trivoli, Illinois. On February 22, 2005, the bank changed its trust powers to full. Ultimately, on July 8, 2016, Heritage Bank of Central Illinois merged with Morton Community Bank, which is based in Morton, Illinois, marking the end of its independent operations.
