History Of Heartland Bank

Heartland Bank was established on January 1, 1933, originally under the name First Federal Savings and Loan Association. The institution underwent several name changes and organizational restructuring throughout its history. In 1996, it became known as Heartland Community Bank and transitioned to a Stock Savings Bank by April 30, 1997. The bank's main office was relocated multiple times, first moving to 235 Jackson Street Southwest in Camden, Arkansas, in 1987, and later to 237 Jackson Street Southwest, Camden, on June 30, 2000. Subsequent relocations included a move to 4937 Highway 5 North in Bryant, Arkansas, on August 26, 2004, and to 5100 Kavanaugh Boulevard in Little Rock, Arkansas, on October 16, 2014. On November 1, 2011, the institution changed its name to Heartland Bank, and on July 17, 2008, it became a commercial bank, changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve, and became a member of the Federal Reserve System. However, the bank voluntarily closed and liquidated its assets on March 9, 2018.
