History Of Hampton State Bank

Hampton State Bank was established on January 1, 1934, in Hampton, Iowa. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in location and operational capabilities. Initially located in Hampton, it moved its main office to 101 First Street Northwest on March 5, 1975. Subsequently, the main office was relocated again to 1111 Main Street on October 3, 1977, and to 100 1st Street Northwest on December 18, 1997. A significant change occurred on November 3, 1981, when Hampton State Bank expanded its trust powers to full. In its final operational phase, the bank merged with First Security Bank and Trust Company of Charles City, Iowa, on December 7, 2015, marking the conclusion of its independent operations.
