Hamilton Bank

Hamilton Bank was established on January 1, 1915, originally operating as Hamilton Federal Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes and organizational structure modifications. On April 12, 1999, it rebranded as Hamilton Federal Bank, transitioning to a Mutual Savings Bank and changing its classification to a Federal Savings Bank. The bank continued to expand through acquisitions, including Belmar Federal Savings and Loan Association in November 1999 and Towson Federal Savings and Loan Association in December 1975. In 2012, it changed its name to Hamilton Bank and relocated its main office to 5600 Harford Road in Baltimore, Maryland. Subsequently, on December 21, 2017, Hamilton Bank transitioned to a commercial bank, changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the FDIC and chartering agency to the state. The main office was moved to 501 Fairmount Avenue in Towson, Maryland, on February 8, 2018. The bank's operations came to a conclusion on May 1, 2019, when it merged with Orrstown Bank in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
