History Of Guaranty Bank and Trust Company

Guaranty Bank and Trust Company was established on June 30, 1955, as a financial institution based in Colorado. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes, including relocating its main office on multiple occasions within Denver. Notably, in 1984, the main office moved to 1600 Stout Street and again in 1987 to 1331 17th Street. In the early 2000s, Guaranty Bank expanded through a series of acquisitions, including The First National Bank of Strasburg in April 2005, Foothills Bank in November 2005, and Centennial Bank of the West in January 2008. The bank also acquired The Home State Bank in September 2016 and Castle Rock Bank in October 2017. On December 30, 2004, Guaranty Bank transitioned to a state-chartered bank and became a member of the Federal Reserve System. Eventually, on January 1, 2019, Guaranty Bank and Trust Company merged with Independent Bank, headquartered in McKinney, Texas, marking the end of its independent operations.
