History Of Gruver State Bank
Gruver State Bank was established on September 7, 1946, in Gruver, Texas, originally under the name Gruver State Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes, including its regulatory status; on November 1, 1961, it became a state-chartered bank and withdrew from the Federal Reserve System, later changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The bank moved its main office multiple times within Gruver, relocating to Fourth and Main Streets in 1972 and then to 3 Main Plaza on September 30, 1981. On August 25, 1975, Gruver State Bank expanded its services by acquiring full trust powers.
