History Of Granite Bank
Granite Bank, originally established as The Colebrook National Bank on November 1, 1889, was a financial institution located in Colebrook, New Hampshire. Over the years, the bank underwent several significant changes, including a relocation of its main office to 147 Main Street in Colebrook on January 2, 1975, as well as a decision to withdraw from membership in the Federal Reserve System and change its chartering agency to the state. In the following decades, the bank moved its main office again to 132 Main Street, Colebrook, on November 16, 2006. On March 16, 2015, it changed its name to Granite Bank. Ultimately, on April 6, 2018, Granite Bank merged with Bangor Savings Bank, headquartered in Bangor, Maine, marking the end of its independent operations.
