GNB Bank, originally established as The Grundy National Bank of Grundy Center on March 16, 1934, is a financial institution headquartered in Grundy Center, Iowa. Over the years, the bank has undergone several important changes and expansions. In July 1987, GNB Bank acquired Hawkeye Bank & Trust in Grundy Center, further solidifying its presence in the local banking market. The institution transitioned to a state-chartered bank and became a member of the Federal Reserve System on December 30, 2011, changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. GNB Bank continued its growth by acquiring First State Bank in Manchester, Iowa on July 3, 2012, and Ackley State Bank in Ackley, Iowa on January 1, 2016.
