In 1944, the institution withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System and changed its regulatory status to a state-chartered bank under the supervision of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The main office was relocated from 617 North Second Street to 1202 Second Street North in Soperton, Georgia, on November 24, 2008.
