On September 5, 1972, the bank's main office was relocated to the intersection of Willard Avenue and Oak Street in Genoa, Nebraska. A major transformation occurred on June 30, 2011, when the institution changed its name to Genoa Community Bank and transitioned from a national bank to a state chartered bank, no longer being a member of the Federal Reserve System.
