Generations Bank, originally established as The Seneca Falls Savings Bank on May 21, 1870, has undergone several name changes and regulatory changes throughout its history. The institution moved its main office to 19 Cayuga Street in Seneca Falls, New York, on February 14, 1977, and adopted the name The Seneca Falls Savings Bank. In the early 2000s, the bank changed its organization type to a stock savings bank and transitioned its regulatory oversight from the Office of Thrift Supervision to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. On July 10, 2006, it changed its name to Seneca Falls Savings Bank and became a federal savings bank. This was followed by another name change to Generations Bank on February 15, 2012, which was finalized on April 24 of the same year.
