GBC International Bank is a financial institution based in Los Angeles, California, originally established on November 15, 1976, under the name First Women’s Bank of California. The bank underwent a name change on August 30, 1984, becoming Guaranty Bank of California. It expanded its operations through several acquisitions, including the purchase of United American Bank in Westminster, California, on October 17, 1994, and Sincere Federal Savings Bank in San Francisco, California, on May 13, 2005. The institution adopted its current name, GBC International Bank, on June 21, 2007. On March 30, 2009, the main office relocated to 5670 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 1780, Los Angeles, California. The bank further expanded its footprint by acquiring Shoreline Bank in Shoreline, Washington, on October 1, 2010, as part of a government-assisted merger.
