History Of Frontier Bank
Frontier Bank is a financial institution that was originally established as Lamar National Bank on August 25, 1934. The bank underwent several significant changes over the decades, including a name change to First National Bank in Lamar on August 15, 1936. In 1990, the main office of the bank was relocated to 200 South Main in Lamar, Colorado. The bank expanded its operations by acquiring Heritage Federal Savings Association and Lamar Industrial Bank in Lamar, Colorado, on August 23 and August 24, 1991, respectively. On January 1, 2011, the institution changed its name to Frontier Bank and transitioned its regulatory oversight to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), while also becoming a state-chartered bank and withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System. On October 1, 2013, Frontier Bank further expanded its footprint by acquiring The Colorado State Bank of Walsh in Walsh, Colorado.
