Founders Bank & Trust was established on December 10, 1991, originally operating under the name Founders Trust Personal Bank. The institution underwent a change in its trust powers to limited on December 19, 1991. On October 8, 2001, the main office of Founders Bank & Trust was relocated to 5200 Cascade Road, Southeast, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Over the years, the bank rebranded, changing its name to Founders Bank & Trust on June 7, 2006. Ultimately, on January 1, 2015, Founders Bank & Trust merged with Old National Bank, located in Evansville, Indiana, marking the conclusion of its independent operations.
