Fortress Bank is a financial institution that has undergone several name changes and relocations since its establishment. The bank was originally founded on January 4, 1904, as the State Bank of Burnside. On August 8, 1941, it changed its name to the State Bank of La Harpe and relocated its main office to 128 East Main Street, La Harpe, Illinois. Over the years, it continued to evolve, changing its name to the First State Bank of Western Illinois on February 22, 1989, and later to the First State Bank of Illinois on November 1, 2008. On December 13, 2008, the bank acquired the State Bank of Colusa in Colusa, Illinois. The main office was moved again on March 1, 2015, to 9000 North Knoxville, Peoria, Illinois. Finally, on December 1, 2017, the institution rebranded as Fortress Bank.

These crooks will try and get out of returning your money when someone steals your debit card information. Never ever do businesses with them they are greedy, out of touch and extremely untrustworthy. They still bank like this is the 90's and that's not in a good way as transactions have evolved so should their bank practices.... Read more
